Competition for European e-Skill Week Project Passion

How Passionate are you about e-Skills? Where will e-Skills take you? How do you see the Digital Revolution transforming Europe? Put your creativity to the test today and win a cash prize., and a chance to launch your career. Tell a story. Create a campaign.

Demonstrate how e-Skills can help people get a job, fuel innovation or drive creativity. ny medium will be accepted – from mobile devices, tablets, illustrations, digital design, story-telling, music, video, posters and social media – you can post your entry on Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube or whichever digital platform suits you best.


Content must to be creative, demonstrate innovative use of the medium, be quirky, be humorous and or be a mash up.

Category 1) e-Skills and me: Entries in this category should explain to an uninitiated audience what e-Skills are and how e-Skills can be developed by young people who are starting to think about their career options.

Category 2) e-Skills: jobs of the future: Entries in this category should explore the different entrepreneurial opportunities that can be opened through e-Skills. Think about the origins of Facebook, Twitter and find European equivalents or tell us of your plans to build the next Spotify or Netflix or some other new business idea by someone you know or have heard about.

Category 3) creative e-Skills: The objective of this category is to explore all the creative avenues that e-Skills open from art to publishing literature online or digital imagery.

EGIBILITY: Candidates interested in applying must be young people between the ages of 16 and 26 (as of January 2012) and must come from one of the following countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom.


  • Top cash prize of €2.150 euros and a paid internship/shadowing opportunity of up to six months with a global company (Cash prize for eligible entries that meet all the criteria received before 8 March is €2.500 euros)
  • Runner up cash prize of 1.000 euros
  • Paid internships / job shadowing with globally renowned companies
  • Goodies worth thousands of euros, including Kinect/Xbox, Nokia Lumia
  • Travel and accommodation covered for winners and runners’ up to attend the e-Skills Week Closing Event in Copenhagen


  1. Provide a campaign plan on the entry form
  2. Implement the campaign (post it online on any site you choose and build a community)
  3. Films can be no longer than 3 minutes, and must be specifically made for Project Passion. Print contributions will have to be sent in digitally for judging (these can be posted on a blog or website of your choice)
  4. Music contributions can be no more than 4 minutes in duration
  5. All pre-produced material such as music must be approved for use or license free, or creative commons license
